    Decide which kind of edit you need

  • For content edits, convert to Word, rewrite there, then export back to PDF.
  • Keep the original file. Exported edits become part of the page and cannot be peeled off later.
  • Highlighting works even on scans, because it is drawn over the page area rather than attached to text.

Common problems

I cannot click into the existing text
That is expected — the editor adds new content rather than reflowing what is already there.
The form has no fillable fields
Place your own text on top of the lines with the text tool.
The file will not open in the editor
Unlock it if it is password-protected, or repair it if it is damaged.
