About PDFSolution

PDFSolution is an independent PDF utility platform. It exists because the everyday PDF jobs — merging, splitting, compressing, converting, signing — should not require installing desktop software or handing your documents to a service you know nothing about.

40 of our tools run entirely inside your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. For those, the file you pick is read by the page on your own device and is never uploaded to our servers.

3 conversions cannot work that way. Rendering Word, Excel and PowerPoint files faithfully requires a full document engine, so those files are sent over an encrypted connection to Microsoft's conversion service and removed from temporary storage afterwards. We say so clearly on each of those pages, rather than implying everything is local.

AI features — the document assistant and translation — send extracted text to an AI provider so it can be processed. That is disclosed on those pages too. We would rather be accurate about where your data goes than make claims we cannot back up.

PDFSolution is funded by advertising on the free plan and by optional paid plans that remove ads and raise usage limits. There is no hidden data business behind it.
